Serving All in Christ’s Love

Called to Serve - Washing Feet

Called to Serve, Called to Love

Many people have the misconception that being “called” by God to serve others is something reserved only for pastors, missionaries, or other church leaders.  We believe that God has personally called, gifted, equipped, and empowered each and every believer to serve one another through various forms.

Jesus Christ showed us by example that we are all called to serve others on the night of the Last Supper.  As recalled in John 13:12-17, after Jesus had washed the feet of his disciples, he asked them “Do you understand what I have done for you?  You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord,’ and rightly so, for that is what I am.  Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet.  I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.  Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.  Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”

Within the Driftless Ministries, we have many opportunities through which you can serve fellow believers and the surrounding community.  We invite you to browse the opportunities below and then get involved alongside us in service to others.

Opportunities to Serve the Church and the Community

Hospitality Team

Hospitality Team

Our churches are places where people can feel safe, comfortable, and welcome.  A huge part of that is thanks to the first smiling faces that people meet when they enter our doors!  Our hospitality team are the wonderful individuals that greet people at the door, hand out programs and other information, offer coffee and treats, answer any questions people might have, and receiving the offering on Sunday mornings.  Being a part of the hospitality team is a great place to start serving and there is always room on this team!  The main skill needed is a true and genuine smile!  To find out more about serving on the Hospitality Team, please reach out to us!

Children's Ministries

If the smiling faces and giggly laughter of children brighten your day, you will want to serve in the Children's Ministry in our churches!  We have a wide range of fun programs in which you can serve at multiple locations.  With the safety of our children as a top priority, many positions will require a background check and the approval of our church boards.  For more information on how you can get involved, contact us using the button below!

  • Visual Content Operators run the presentation software that displays graphics, song lyrics and sermon points on the screens.
  • Video Techs run the video cameras for recording and possible live streams.
  • Video Editor Techs take our recorded worship and edit it for use on a local television channel and social media.
  • Photographers capture special moments during our worship services and special events.
  • Website Content Manager creates and maintains our website, keeping it up-to-date and relevant for our members and visitors.
  • Social Media Content Creators develop posts on our Facebook page that keep our community of faith engaged throughout the week.

Music Ministries

Do you have a heart for playing music or singing?  Our churches welcome anyone who is musically gifted to come and lead us in worship!  All of our churches are home to either an organ or piano for more classical hymns, but we are growing into contemporary Christian music as well and invite other musical instruments and vocals.  We encourage any who are musically talented to reach out to us and discover how you can use your gift to assist us in worshipping God!
