Discover your faith at Vacation Bible School
Every summer, we offer a creative, fun, faith-building experience for both children and adults known as Vacation Bible School (VBS). Each VBS program has a unique, fun, and inviting theme which is designed to help introduce our area children and adults to Jesus Christ and help them grow in a relationship with Him. VBS usually features fun Bible-based stories, lively and upbeat songs, creative arts and crafts, exciting games (indoor and outdoor), and delicious snacks. Each year we all have a blast! We welcome everyone to join us each summer for VBS as we continue to grow in our faith!
Weird Animals VBS 2025
Welcome to Weird Animals VBS: Where Jesus' love is one of a kind! Come with us as we learn about different weird, wonderful animals around the world and God's Word. When "weird" means special, unique, and one-of-a-kind, kids are reminded of Jesus' special love for them - even when they feel different! Jesus loves you even when... you're left out, you're different, you don't understand, you do wrong, when you're afraid, and so much more! All area youth are welcome to participate in Weird Animals VBS! Don't miss this weird dose of fun and learning!
Weird Animals VBS was a joint ministry between the De Soto Lutheran Church and the New Hope and Retreat Methodist Churches. During this Vacation Bible School, a school bus was available to pick up kids from Prairie View Elementary School following the Jump Start Summer Session or parents can drop their children off at the church.
